About us

Pinsnickety's founders Meredith Sanger-Katz

Pinsnickety was developed by sisters who are passionate about the jumper ring and committed to the notion that turnout can be traditional without being boring.

We grew up riding in our backyard, trail riding to the nearest show stable for lessons, and making all manner of improvised tack out of bailing twine. Decades later, those crafty impulses led us to the idea for Pinsnickety. Instead of safety pins, we figured, why not make something fun.

Though riding was always something we did together, we’ve had very different professional backgrounds. Margot is a journalist. Meredith is an MBA with a background in real estate finance.

We make our pins with equestrians in mind. We tested them extensively to ensure they would fit perfectly into modern horse show turnout. Our posts are made to fit through the thickest English saddle pad. And our locking clasps are smooth against your horse and secure enough to never fall off on course.

We're also both active competitors in the sport. We show in the amateur jumper ring, sporting a variety of our pins and charms. Come say hi if you see us at a show.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We’d love to talk to you about *custom orders, stocking Pinsnickety in your tack store or ideas for new designs. We’d especially love to see photos of our pins and charms in action. Email us here, or reach out on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or TikTok.
